아 3회까지 흥미롭게 봤는데 점점 산으로 강으로 바다로 내용이 중구난방 떡밥만 신나게 던지고 회수가 안 되는?
미스터리물에서 갑자기 sci-fi 장르로 바뀌는데 대체 뭔 상황인지 더 헷갈리기만 할 뿐 이해가 안되니까 플롯을 따라가지도 몬하겠고 제일 좋아하던 캐릭터도 죽고 중도하차할까 했지만 그래도 끝까지 봤는데 인내심을 보상받진 못했다 결국 내가 뭘 본건지 모르겠는.. 죽은거 아니고 이거 다 진짜가 아니었어요 실험이었어요가 결말이었던가
무슨 일이 왜 일어나고 있는지 이 쇼의 목적이 뭔지 궁금해도 답을 얻을 순 없을거같다 왜냐면 제작진조차도 모르는거같기 때문
그래요 훌륭한 미스터리 이야기를 창작하는게 쉽지 않지요 아니 그래도 최소한 말이 돼야할거 아니오?
the pyramid, the beetle, the boy's silence, the black substance, the telegram messages, the cross lingual characters interaction? the tunnel below each bed, ghost, the mental hospital, time travel, parallel universes? realities, wake up, memories, simulation, the key?
그냥 있어보이는 것들 마구잡이로 던져놓고 해석은 보는 사람의 몫?? 전체 이야기에 무슨 역할을 하고 어떤 의미가 있는지 이해가 안 돼요 아마 내가 멍청한걸수도
"May your coffee kick in before reality does." 이거 하나 건졌다
시즌2 확정됐나요? 껍데기에 치중말고 극본부터 잘써봐요 작가님들아
Contratiempo (The Invisible Guest)
헐 좋은 쪽으로 충격 먹은
예상외로 넘나 재밌게 봤고 내내 뭐지 뭐지 했는데 모든것은 마지막을 위한 빌드업 그리고 결말 카타르시스!! 그래 미스터리 스릴러 장르가 이렇게나 미스터리하고 스릴있는거였엌ㅋ
액션 없고 말만 많이 하는데도 전혀 지루할틈 없이 속도감 있게 이야기를 이어가고 마지막까지 반전에 반전을 거듭한다 근데도 억지스럽지 않은게 영화의 제일 강점 아주 똑똑했어

ok, you'll need a box of tissues to watch this film. it's a hidden gem of a movie that deserves being applauded much more.
a simple story yet so emotional, well scripted and directed. stellar performance by james norton and daniel lamont, daniel how old were you when shooting buddy?
i knew watching this movie would have me crying and it did from start to finish. it stirred my emotion so much from the very beginning that i almost stopped watching but i'm glad i didn't. heartbreakingly sad but there was something peaceful, even uplifting and it moved me immensely.
this is about real people, real situations. it delivers lots of feelings and makes me feel them with all my heart without the need to use any clichés or dramatic scenes or forced efforts. less is more here, and in contrast to its title, it is truly special. not exactly a feel-good film though, nonetheless worth watching. heart-wrenching and heart-warming all at once.
기승전결 없고 큰 사건 없어도 이야기가 어떻게 흘러갈지 영화에 몰입하게 만드는 모든 배우들의 연기가 훌륭하다 특히 정적인 분위기에 맞는 섬세하고 절제된 감정 연기를 하는 james norton(이번에 처음 봄)과 아역배우 daniel lamont 사이에 특별한 유대감이 느껴지고 정말로 아빠와 아들 같다
사실 영화 타이틀 배우 이름들 나오고나서 바로 애기 등장하는 순간부터 눈물이 난다 간단한 줄거리 알고 보는거라 그 생각만으로도 내가 지금 보고 있는 화면과 별개로 계속 슬프고 눈물이 고임
넘나 슬픈 영화인데(작정하고 관객에게 울어라울어라 하는 영화는 아님) 근데 한편으로는 희망이 느껴지기도 하고 요즘같은 시대에 이런 영화 더 소중하다 사람들이 많이 봤으면 좋겠고 박스 스코어 결과 자체보다 더 많은 박수와 찬사를 받았으면 좋겠다
수천만달러 쏟아붓는 상업 영화들보다 이렇게 작아도 알맹이 있는 인디 영화들이 훨씬 좋다
if you have kids and love them, this movie will move you, if you've never had a kid, but still have a heart, it will as well, and if not, something is terribly wrong with you.
Il filo invisibile (The Invisible Thread)
a very pleasant surprise, positive and entertaining movie that's all about family; not necessarily dna
not another typical coming out story, which i liked
the dads' acting is a bit over dramatic but the son, francesco gheghi is good and talented
i found several moments unrealistic but ok.. or cultural difference?
made me laugh, made me cry, and made me think
don't overthink it or analyze it, just enjoy a nice little family drama
Disenchanted
15년만에 나온 Enchanted 2편
역시 뮤지컬 영화 디즈니 영화는 내취향이 아님 ㅋ행복하게 봤던 Enchanted가 예외였던 것..
1편은 볼때마다 기분이 좋아지는 내가 정말 좋아하는 영화 중 하난데 관객한테 먹혔던 에이미의 도른 공주 연기 독특하고 사랑스럽고 또라이같은 b급 감성이 2편에선 다 사라졌다 내용도 이상 다들 과장된 연기 정신 사나운 cgi 노래는 시도때도 없이 부르고 ost도 그저 그런
공교롭게도 영화 제목대로 된? 1편 enchanted는 마법에 걸린거처럼 매료되어 봤고 2편 disenchanted에서 그 환상이 깨져버림 ㅠ..
유일하게 좋았던 점은 오리지널 캐스트가 그대로 출연한거 그뿐(모건 제외)

내가 잘 모르는 인물의 전기영화라니 아는만큼 보일텐데 난 아는게 딱히 없잖아 뭘 기대하며 봐야하는걸까 에이미 아담스만 믿는거다 내가 젤 좋아하는 배우 amy adams
다큐같기도 영화같기도 어찌됐든 의외로 안 지루하게 본(감독이 중간중간 이거저거 많이 함)
영화 중간 훼이크 엔딩 크레딧이나 편집을 난해하게 하는감이 없지 않아 있는데 여튼 머리에 생각이 많고 하고 싶은게 많고 아이디어가 넘치는 감독이라는걸 알겠슴
"Oh, well, that sounds delicious!" 레스토랑 "메뉴" 설명씬만으로 좋은 작가인것도 알겠음
아무 접점이 없어 보이는 제시(브레이킹 배드 제시, 극중 이름이나 배우 본명이 생각이 안난다)가 왜 나레이션을 하고 있나 했는데 딕 체니 인생에 그렇게 등장할줄이야 상상도 못했다
부시 체니 럼즈펠드 라인이 자국뿐 아니라 세계를 얼마나 고통받게 했는지

대사 절반은 이해 못함 내가 해군도 아니고 어떻게 알아 ㅋㅋ불필요한 서사 신파 다 자르고 짧고 강렬하게 몰입하고 끝낸다
그래도 나한테 greyhound 하면 고속버스 회사가 영화보다 먼저 떠오를거같다
톰 행크스 아저씨 여전하시네요
미쳐 날뛰는 그레이울프 무섭다
소재가 넘치고 제작이 끊이지 않는 전쟁영화 남자 배우들에게 기회는 무궁무진한듯 이 영화에 여자 출연자는 1명 사실 안나와도 그만인 카메오 수준

이것이 제대로 된 블랙코미디 & whodunit
great cast, soundtrack, dark humour, beautiful setting and wonderful cinematography. SO CLEVER. character development, storytelling and plot lines. SO CLEVER. the writing, the acting and the overall tone. SO CLEVER.
재밌고 웃기고 열받고 웃기고 궁금하고 웃기고 슬프고 웃기고 어이없고 웃기고
영화 드라마 등 영상 창작물의 가장 바탕이 되는건 역시 대본이라고 생각한다 작가가 중심을 가지고 있어야하고 똑똑해야함 자기가 뭘 쓰고 있는지 뭘 하고 있는지 뭘 말하고 싶은지 제대로 알고 있어야함
브레이킹 배드 보고 난 이후로 모든 tv series가 시시했는데(베터 콜 사울 빼고) 자매님들 한 건 했어요 브배 이후 최고의 드라마임(내 입장에서 최고의 찬사) 벨기에 시리즈가 원작인데 원작도 이 정도로 훌륭한 작품인지 궁금하다 근데 볼 수 있는 방법이 있을라나
웃음 터진 대사가 정말 정말 많은데 다음에 한 번 더 정주행 할 때 다 메모해보도록 하겠음

아일랜드의 아름다운 자연 풍경을 볼 수 있었던 건 덤

할머니 마지막 눈빛과 대사 ㅠㅠ대배우가 주는 감동이 이런것이구나
영화라기보다는 90분동안 1960년대 사진전 감상한 느낌이다
어두운 시대상을 배경으로 하고 있음에도 불구하고 영화 자체가 왜인지 모르게 웃음을 주고 따뜻한 느낌이 드는건 아마 감독의 어릴적 자전적 이야기 + 고향 벨파스트에 보내는 그리움과 사랑이 고스란히 느껴져서인가봄

ok i think the movie does want to say something and is trying to do something but i just don't know what it is? they don't make it to make the point out loud and clear.. i can see clearly there's a hint about the sexual abuse from her own father, perhaps the reason behind everything, but all in all, it is awkward.

딱히 특별할거 없는 whodunit 영화 가볍게 즐기기 좋은 영화 큰 기대없이 보면 충분히 재밌는 영화
모든 영화가 예술영화일 필요는 없다 돈값하는 오락영화도 못지않게 필요한법 그것도 못하는 영화가 얼마나 많은데
디키가 살인자가 아니어서 조금 실망

전쟁영화를 볼 때마다 매번 드는 생각 윗대가리들아 니들이 직접 전장에 나가라고
지금 비슷한 상황이 우크라이나에서 벌어지고 있고 나는 이걸 집에서 넷플릭스로 보고 있다는 사실에 머릿속이 새하얘진다 진심

인간은 죽음에 큰 의미를 부여하지만 개는 그냥 덤덤히 받아들이는거 같아서 생각보다 많이 울진 않았다 남은 인간의 슬픔을 봤다면 오열했을거 같지만 개 시점이니까 나도 괜찮았음

자식들을 지키기 위한 행동이었지만 그 결과 애들은 foster home으로 보내지고 다시 되찾기 위한 엄마의 사투가 시작됨
번듯한 직업없이 동생네 집에 얹혀 사는 현 상황에서 아이들을 다시 데려오려면 집을 구해야함 -> 집 구하기 위해선 직업 있어야함 노숙자처럼 보여서도 안됨 -> 하루 아침에 길거리로 내몰린 아이 엄마가 할 수 있는 일이 딱히 없음 -> 돈 언제 벌고 집은 언제 구함? 근데 마음은 너무 급하다
그니까 이게 너무 막막한 현실인거다 그야말로 벗어나기 힘든 더이상 아무것도 남은게 없는 고단한 자의 굴레.. she is trying anyway. she is trying.
와중에 조카도 보호해야 한다
버니는 생일파티하기에 그지같은 장소라고 했지만 만약 만약에 만에하나 섀넌이랑 루벤이 왔다면 it would've been hella party!!!!!
(케잌을 굽는 사람이라서 주시를 안할수가 없음) 아니 케이크가 케이스 안에서 그렇게 동서남북으로 슬라이딩을 했고 심지어 어느 순간 반 찌그러진 모습도 카메라에 잡혔는데 버니가 초를 꽂을땐 어머이징하게 아주 온전한 홀케잌!!? 이런거 나는 신경 쓰인다고요

Moon Rock for Monday
so why does
a 10-year-old girl suddenly just GO with a stranger because she's sick?
a father of the girl show lack of emotion for losing his daughter?
the police just shoot the main character without any real reason? (the overall police scenes seem something off)
also there's quite few cringe worthy moments and some people they run into on the road don't deserve screen time to be honest, cut 'em out and you lose nothing still
the script needed better, especially emotion, it could've been so much more
i know it's not perfect but if you like quirky road trip movies, you'll enjoy this too like i did
a feel-good movie, good cast, great cinematography, and perfect ending
처음 만난 사람을 그냥 따라가 버리는게 고개를 갸우뚱하게 하지만

전체적으로 경찰 나오는 씬 서사가 좀 미약하고 마지막에 총은 왜 쏜거야? 이유도 안 말해준거같은데?
문락 가는길에 만나는 인물들 이야기 전개에 필요하다 해도 약간의 억지스러움이 없지 않아 있지만
보는 관객을 어색하게 만드는 씬이 중간중간 한두번씩 등장하지만
대본을 더 잘 쓸수 있었을거같은데 더 좋은 영화를 만들수 있었을거같은데
모든 약점을 다 뒤로 하고 로드무비 + 성장영환데 재미없을리가 없다

Looks That Kill
솔직히 말도 안되는 시놉시스라고 생각했고 그래도 이런 비현실적인걸 내세워서라도 뭔가를 신랄하게 비꼬고 비판하는 블랙코미디를 기대했는데 평범한 틴로맨스영화였다 실망 ㅜ
내가 영화에 큰 공감을 못한 가장 큰 이유는 개연성과 설득력 부족이다
누구라도 주인공 맥스의 얼굴을 보면 죽는다 사람이 죽었는데 체포도 없고 벌도 없고.. 뭐 엄밀히 말해 맥스가 살인을 한 거라고 볼 수는 없지만 그렇다고 아예 100% 무고한것도 아니잖아 나도 내가 뭔소리를 하는지 모르겠다 법정드라마영화를 지나치게 많이 봐서 그렇다
얼굴을 보다 에서 얼굴이 정확히 어디를 지칭? 얼굴의 어느 부분도 드러내서는 안되나? 이마 코 볼 붕대는 몇 번 감아야 확실히 차단?이 되는지? 눈은 절대로 마주쳐선 안되는줄 알았는데 어느 순간엔 선글라스 벗고 있고 이게 뭐야 그냥 코에 걸면 코걸이 귀에 걸면 귀걸이? 관객을 납득시키려는 감독의 설명도 노력도 미미하다
선글라스로 눈을 가리고 붕대로 감춘 얼굴로 평생을 살았고 이 때문에 평생을 친구 사귀는거조차 힘든 주인공한테 동정심을 느껴야 하는게 감독의 바람이었을텐데 음 아뇨 애초에 그런 질병?이 있는게 말이 안되잖아 이러면서 보는둥 마는둥 시큰둥했다
근데 이런 상상은 했다 만약 내 얼굴이 누구를 죽일수 있다면?? 일단 연쇄살인범들 강간범들(특히 "합의" "고소 취하"로 빠져나간 프로스포츠 선수들 연예인들 쓰레기짓하고 팬들 사랑 받으며 아무일 없던듯이 멀쩡히 잘 사는게 싫다) 다 죽이고 소아성애자들 죽이고 부패한 정치인들 친일파들 경제사범들도 다 죽이고 그 외에.. 명단이 끝이 없다 너무 바쁠것같아 하루가 짧겠어!
오 바로 이게 감독이 이 영화를 만든 이유인가? 아무 흔적도 증거도 안 남기고 누굴 죽일 수 있게 된다면 내 손에 누구의 운명이 달려있게 된다면 당신의 선택은? 아니 심지어 방법도 매우 쉽잖아 죽이고 싶은 사람한테 가서 내 얼굴 보여주기만 하면 됨 오호호호??!!!! 난 그 능력을 마음껏 쓰겠어 열심히 하루가 멀다하고 쓰겠어 누구보다 잘 쓸 자신이 있어 오 갑자기 기분이 좋아지고 영화도 좋아지는데?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ(분명 감독의 제작 의도는 이게 아닐거라고 본다) 정작 영화 볼 때는 회의적이다가 리뷰 쓰는 와중에 마음이 움직이는 흔치 않은 경험
끝나고 배우 얼굴 찾아봤다 대체 얼마나 치명적이길래!

세상에 3200만 달러를 훔치려고 세운 계획이 고작 그거? 내가 여태껏 본 은행털이범들 중에 제일 엉성한
그리고 LAPD 너무 무능하다 드라마 S.W.A.T.의 경찰과 전혀 다른데? 어휴 그 인력 그 물량공세를 하고도..
초중반까지는 재밌었음
근데 두시간내내 경찰차 따돌리는거 자동차 박살나는거만 나온다 다른거 다 제쳐두고 오로지 앰뷸런스 추격전에 올인한 스토리도 메시지도 없는 시간 때우기용 영환데 솔직히 말하면 그 시간도 아깝다(결국엔 재미마저도 없는) 이리저리 열심히 처박힌 수많은 차량들도 그리고 제작비도 아깝다 와중에 또 러닝타임은 왜이렇게 긴지 한 삼십분 잘라내도 딱히 별로 아무 문제없을거같은데?
아 마지막으로 이건 또 내가 어느 한가지에 꽂히면 그거에 집착해서 하는 소린데 총 맞은 경찰관 그렇게 피를 흘리고도 안 죽는게 말이 되는거? 고속도로 달리는 구급차 안에서 의사도 아닌 구조대원이 화상 전화로 지시받으면서 수술? 영화니까 그냥 넘어가 가 나는 안돼 영화 끝나고 제일 먼저 드는 생각 와 그 경찰관 어떻게 살아남은거지

이것이 팝콘무비 결국은 둘이 잘될거라는거 누구나 다 아는데 재밌는
나름 소소한 반전도 있음

uhh..... it was devastating. i don't know how to feel, but i do understand what he did and why he did at the end.
this is an incredibly sad movie. i don't need all the movies that have the problems solved with a happy ending, but i really wanted it to end well this time for the both of them. with that being said, i could hardly see it could because of what was happening and what had happened in their lives, which was an absolute wreck. i am just terribly terribly sorry for what they had to go through and will have to go through.

How to Get Away with Murder
타이틀롤 비올라 데이비스 게다가 내가 좋아하는 법정물임에도 큰 흥미를 못느끼고 정주행 속도가 더딘 이유를 생각해봤다(시즌2서 멈췄음)
1 주인공을 응원하는 마음이 쉽사리 안 생긴다 가스라이팅 천재 키팅 교수 내 정신까지 지배할수는 없다
2 재판 모조리 다 이기는게 별로다
3 고정 출연진이 아홉명인데 특히 키팅5 중 맘에 드는 캐릭터가 한명쯤은 있을법도한데 그 누구에게도 정이 가지 않는다 특히 웨스하고 레베카 얘네땜에 시즌1에서 진작 때려칠뻔 그리고 모두가 섹스에 환장 양다리 불륜이 판치는게 싫다 다들 왜이렇게 치명적인척해..
4 모두가 끊임없이 (좋은 의도든 아니든) 거짓말을 하고 속고 속인다 질린다 어느 시점부터는 누가 뭘 얼만큼 알고 있는지 모르겠다
5 전체를 관통하는 사건(라일라 살인사건, 햅스톨 재판, 웨스 과거)에 계속 반전을 줘서 벙 찌게 만들고 싶은가본데 너무 과함 어떤 새 국면을 맞아도 놀랍지가 않다 충격적이지 않아 시도 때도 없는 되돌아가기 편집도 정신 사납고 지겹다
온갖 클리셰 범벅 과하고 자극적인게 인기요소라고들 하는데 나는 피곤하다 40분 내내 빡세다 한번에 몰아보기 좋은 쇼가 아니다 제정신인 사람 하나가 없고 다들 모순덩어리들 입만 열면 하는 거짓말에 지쳤다
그래서 시즌2에 등장한 싱클레어 검사가 키팅패거리를 무너뜨리길 바랬다 기대한 내가 문제다 대체 뭘 바랬냐..ㅋ 헛웃음 나넼 어이없게도 싱클레어가 죽었다 죽은 싱클레어를 보고 "자업자득이지" ??? 뻔뻔 그 자체
왜 이렇게 사람 죽는게/죽이는게 쉽냐 그리고 왜 안 잡혀!!??? 주인공 가는길에 걸리적거리면 그냥 없애는거야? 그 사람이 사라지는게 오히려 사회에 좋은일 하는거야 걘 죽어 마땅해 그런거도 아니고.. 그리고나서는 쇼 제목에 충실하게 살인을 덮기 위해 교수이자 변호사란 사람이 온갖 조작과 은폐에 제일 앞장서는데 아니 이걸 보고 응원하는 마음이 들겠냐구 ㅋ
내가 전세계에서 제일 도덕적이고 성인군자라서가 아님 최소한의 양심과 의식이 있다면 이런 반응이 정상이다 내가 살고있는 세상이 정의롭지만은 않다는거 너무나도 잘 알지만 그래도 나는 선을 믿고 싶고 보고 싶다 굳이 tv show에서 현실을 마주하고 그거에 열받고 절망하기 싫다

미국에서 breaking bad & walter white/heisenberg 이미 전설인듯 1 이후에 제작된 모든 갱&마약 관련 작품에 영향을 준건 말할필요도 없고 2 특히 상징적이 되어버린 그 실험실 복장 마스크 앞치마 3 다른 작품에 이렇게 종종 언급되기도 하고 4 패러디되기도 하고 5 넷상에서 꾸준히 생성되는 온갖 밈들을 보면 앞으로도 쭉 잊히지 않고 불멸로 남을듯하다

시즌 1은 신선함으로 봤는데 갈수록 그게 사라지니 쇼에 대한 흥미 또한 떨어진다

so i watched the good wife so many times that i can easily recognize almost every guest actor who guest starred in the show when stumbling upon them in either other movies or tv shows, and even though most of whom appeared in just one episode out of over 100, i still managed to figure it out what character he/she was in the good wife.

케일라의 고등학교 생활은 좀 나아지길 바래본다 내성적이어도 자신감 좀 없어도 괜찮다 그냥 너 할 거 하라고 말해주고 싶다 지금은 니가 제일 못난거 같다고 느끼겠지만 아니라고 어깨 토닥여주고 싶다 마음 통하는 친구가 한 명 있으면 좋겠지만 없어도 뭐 세상 끝날일은 아니야 근데 게이브랑 좋은 친구가 될거같은데? ㅋㅋ
새삼 스마트폰 시대에 태어나지 않은것에 감사한다 소셜미디어가 전부인 세상에서 "쿨한" 십대가 나는 절대 될 수 없을 것이므로 "힙한" 그 세계에 나는 결코 속할수 없을 것이므로

i go into movies in blind mostly, and try to avoid spoilers as much as possible since i prefer experiencing them through the experience of watching them.
but this time, jc wtf is wrong with these kids???? i awfully underestimated how depressing this was going to be. not the wholesome movie i expected, totally the opposite in fact, it was very dark and disturbing.
a school is a microcosm of society and 7-year-old nora's first place where she's confronted with social issues. so much is going on in the schoolyard while adults are here so incompetent. where on earth are all the teachers? is there only one teacher at school in all of belgium?!!? even when a teacher witnesses a fight or is told that something terrible is happening, her response is pathetic and hardly supportive.
the film exposes not only the negligence of grown-ups who ignore the real problems, but also how cruel kids can be towards each other. it shows in an unpredictably realistic way, how they're already introduced to the ugly things in life at this very young age, which only results in vicious cycles of bullying. kids are cute.. yet why so evil?
maya vanderbeque, who is in nearly every scene, is phenomenal. i've never seen any movies where a director put this much faith and trust in a child actor's hands. the camera stays on her eye level almost its entire running time, telling the story from her perspective. the way of this film shot in low angle to focus the kids gives the audience more sense of hopeless and anxiety. there's no score or other music, which fits the story well and makes it an uncomfortable and harrowing experience. it was to me far more terrifying than most horror movies.
this is like michael haneke/dardennes realism but with a kid's story set entirely in elementary school. brutal and harsh. so not the greatest choice for a relaxing sunday afternoon movie. it was a long stressful 70 mins, imagine if this was any longer, my current mental health could never.
such a tough watch, probably wouldn't watch it again. but it's an important one to tell.

어 음 어.. 모르겠다 나는 모르겠다 영화 속 인물들 중에는 앙투안 입장에 제일 공감갔다 만약 내가 주변인물이었더라면? 결국엔 그 선택을 응원해줬을거같긴한데 그게 100%는 아니고 소극적 지지? 완전히 이해할수는 없었을것같다 트랜스젠더의 삶에 대해 말하기엔 나는 잘 모르고 복잡하고 민감한 주제이고 그렇구나 그런 삶도 있구나 할뿐이고 영화 자체는 용감한 시도였던것같다

주인공 둘다 귀엽고 연기도 평타 이상으로 하고 유치해도 초반은 나름 재밌고 어떤식으로 풀어갈지 궁금했는데 위기 절정 결말 이게 최선이었습니까 너무.. 변변찮다 틴무비 기준으로 봐도 별로고 그리고 스크린이 칠판이 되어 둘이 주고 받는 문자를 무슨 다 보여주는데 이건 누구 생각이었는지 궁금하다 뭐든 적당히 vale alex valex 이것도 노렸다는 느낌을 지울수가 없다(주인공 친구가 언급하는 장면 있음) 적당히 좀
이렇게 하면 인기 좀 끌겠지?하는 노림수들이 넘나 눈에 보여서 그냥ㅋㅋ웃곸ㅋ 만닼ㅋ 차라리 레즈비언 여자애 둘이 주인공이었다면 희소성이라도 있었을텐데

예상 가능한 내용인데 아웃사이더인 네드가 괴롭힘을 마냥 당하지만은 않고 있는게 그리고 점점 자신의 목소리를 내는게 맘에 들었다
모두가 공감할수 있는 이야기이고 특히 남들과 다르다고 생각하는 이들이 이 영화를 보고 용기를 얻었으면 좋겠다

Boże Ciało (Corpus Christi)
문신을 한 신부님 - 영화 제목만 보고 재밌어보여서 봤는데
oh boy what the hell did i just watch? holy moly this is amazing???!!!!!!! to my surprise i hadn't heard a thing about this film before but the title looked interesting that i didn't even give myself a second to decide whether to watch it or not. and wow what a film! i was expecting it to lean more into comedy but it was deep and complex, and quite frankly, i wasn't prepared at all for this masterpiece. yes, BOŻE CIAŁO IS A MASTERPIECE.
this is a surprisingly magnificent, powerful, and intriguing film about faith, redemption, and forgiveness. i'm an atheist and not one for religious films, but absolutely loved this one. it's strangely both quiet and electrifying, keeping me engaged daniel's journey the whole time that is spiritual, intense, raw but somehow humourous, hopeful in an odd way.
and what piercing eyes you have (fake) pater tomasz! with his big pale blue eyes and an insanely cinematic face that reveal more in ten seconds than other actors do in ten minutes, bartosz bielenia gives one of the most magnetic performances i've ever seen on screen from someone i'm totally unfamiliar with. what a mesmerizing performer, he captures every moment purely through the strength of his gaze, truly remarkable.
plot, script, dialogues, cinematography, lighting, colour, directing, acting, cast, sound, score, editing, and that headbutt, near perfect. i'm not sure how i feel about the ending though that i'm still trying to understand and isn't leaving my mind anytime soon.
it's bleak as it is, there's still some unexpected warmth to be found in this film, and heartfelt yet also violent. i have too many thoughts about faith, redemption, forgiveness, religion, atonement, hypocrisy, consciencs, morality, acceptance, second chance that i just haven't organized yet, it asks a lot of questions that will have me thinking for a while. it's going to take me a few days to process this one, but i thought i'd put this out here for now.

voilà, another foreign gay film that crushes my soul. when he entered the interrogation room, i felt my heart slowly crumbling to pieces. i'm not mentally stable enough to write a proper review at the moment so this is gonna be a short one.
ok wait.. WHY IS THIS SO GOOD???? this movie is so good. this is CINEMA. i still got chills.
ok but.. where tf would arek go?? he hurt, did he make it?? what about robert??!? did he ever find him?? they did meet again, right.. right????? no no no no no it can't it can't, i need a part 2 with their reunion desperately. I NEED TO KNOW.
this is a damn fine film. dark, stylish, intense, intimate, cryptic, tragic, atmospheric, secretive and sexy. the chemistry, the vibes, love, pain and suffering, i love it.
i thought this was just a mediocre thriller cop movie when i clicked on it, i was certainly not expecting the gay love story there. i kept watching nonetheless after finding out it was an lgbt film and i was NEVER expecting to like this as much as i do now.
i liked the two plots that took part simultaneously, the mystery part and the character part. granted, it had its flaws. though the crime investigation was a bit missing, the most fascinating parts were the character-driven moments and personal dilemma. this film was aesthetically beautiful throughout and made me care for the characters to another level. the plot wasn't the most creative one yet was intriguing enough to be fully able to invest in from beginning to end. the production design and cinematography surely added to the atmosphere of the film, which gave it a very realistic feel. also, the acting was so convincing that made me like i was the one right there with them, being a part of those events, observing everything, feeling all of the emotions-happiness, curiosity, confusion, anger, and pain-through the screen.
stunning cinematography(please work continuously mr piotr sobociński jr), gorgeous shots(visual motif of windows and mirrors), moody colour palette(this is how you do burnt orange) (and a couple of drops of green and blue), thrilling music(clever use to create tension), perfect cast(the two leads are up there as one of my favourite pairings in my recent memory), impeccable acting(tomasz ziętek delivers in such a conflicted and humane performance, hubert miłkowski has that sadness as well as determination in his eyes, and their relationship feels so real, so human), make up and costumes(everyone is hot and has insane fashion sense). last but not least, shoutout to tomasz ziętek's moustache(never seen a man suits a moustache so much in my entire life), turtlenecks (and the brown leather gun holster thing). and of course, cigarettes can't be left out of the film. how many cigarettes can a person smoke in a day though? i could smell the cigarettes and misery from the screen.
my only problem with this is how a female character is used (like many other queer movies). can they stop creating female characters whose the sole purpose is to make a gay male lead appear less gay? i mean, what is one reasonable reason of them being existed exactly.. if i have to point out one more, the thriller has some weak points when it's given a limited time to develop and solves itself in a bland sort of way. the romance is obviously nice and cute, but just like the thriller, it's given too little time to bloom to call it is love. scratch that. it's love. it definitely is. after watching this over and over again, i see all the details i didn't catch until the 3rd or 4th viewing. robert signing the declaration of homosexuality his father is forcing arek to sign, and the way he is protective of him and the way he is protective of him back (in his UNIFORM!!).. if it's not love, i don't know what is.
in spite of it being almost two hours long, it kinda feels somehow lacking in substance. and the ending.. i'm usually not a fan of ambiguous endings. there's rare cases of open endings i like, but the last scene here leaves me only wanting more especially since there's still so much left to be resolved. well honestly though, this deserved to be a mini series. IT SHOULD BE A SERIES, not just a movie. it would make a good one and i would binge the hell out of it.
who would've thought 1980s polish-communist-moustache-police-gay depression would hit me this hard. it surprised me with how much i thoroughly enjoyed it despite its heavy theme and historical background.
there are countless lgbt movies set in periods where lgbt people were forced to hide, suffered, murdered. how many souls with dreams and hopes snatched away, how many people who never returned home, people whose family never knew the reason why they were killed. whenever i see these types of movies, i'm aware that everything is taught much more lighter compared to what they had to go through decades ago that hits me straight in the gut. it's painful but definitely necessary even though it hurts to watch, it's an incredible story notwithstanding. i had no clue this was a thing in poland as well, and it made me tremendously sad and angry and frustrated to know that these things actually happened. the fact that after all these years yet so many countries are still treating its lgbt communities as criminals is just heartbreaking.
it was my second experience of polish cinema(the first being boże ciało in which of course THE tomasz was pinczer, i knew it, he was crazy good in that one too) which is extremely compelling and thought-provoking. and it's always refreshing to find a good film in a completely unfamiliar foreign language particularly when i heard nothing about and had no expectation.

i was pretty down already and this helped me reach the rock bottom. thus i choose for my own sake to believe that they were reunited and are currently living their best lives in san francisco or something otherwise i'm going to be depressed for days.

and could not sleep afterwards. all i wanted was quick easy fun movie at friday night but this one makes me awake and think a lot.. thinking of them A LOT.

i'm almost embarrassed by how many times i've returned to this. this is an unbelievably good, utterly fantastic film, and so so underrated. rewatched 6 times already and every time i get to watch i'm sad but i love it. i seem to like to have a type in films that are foreign gay films that absolutely destroy me emotionally.
