it could've been a 10 goal blowout, the game like this in the quarterfinals is brutal.
an overwhelming win for the czechs and they are not done yet. onto the semis.
their attack is beyond balanced. now have 10 players averaging a point a game or better.
my new endearment is the czechia players singing their national anthem, they just can't stop giggling and i love them for that

czechia is a legitimate gold medal threat. i'm officially confident enough to say that. they have everything. great goaltending, defence-makers on defence, high-end skill guys who're nasty to play against up front. with 16 players returning from the 2022 world juniors' bronze medal game in last august, they have that many players that have the experience of the tournament and understand what the demands are. exprience from august and healthy self-confidence can do an awful lot, and more importantly, they're hungry. their desire and hunger for success are easily recognizable as well.
team czechia has been a most consistent and dominant team all tournament long, they could be on the way to making some history this year. i think the czechs are a genuine contender, and they might be going to win the whole thing.
i hope they will.

czechia team has marcel marcel instead of now 20 year ivan ivan ivan. (note that both wear #16) i'm glad that the czechs have continued the tradition established last year by having ivan³ on their wjc u20 team and by including marcel² on this year's team. outstanding stuff, czechia!
