pnc arena was absolutely electric yesterday
the first player in franchise history to score an overtime goal in back to back games
last night martin nečas became just the fifth player in nhl history to score a tying goal inside the final minute of regulation and then also the game winner within the first minute of overtime
his combination of speed and skill with that much open ice is just lethal
rod brind'amour on nečas' season: "it's not surprising. to be honest, last year was surprising."
i'm just thinking of martin nečas a year ago, how stuck and disappointed in himself he must've felt. and contrasting last season to this season, he's been consistent, so confident and clutch all year long. frankly i was pretty down on him last year especially during the playoffs but now he's like a completely different player. it's crazy how much a year difference can make.
only if canes gm gave kotkaniemi's contract to nečas..
